Le Rayon Vert perfume

from $70.00

Jules Verne's 1882 novel Le Rayon-Vert (The Green Ray) popularized the elusive green flash, a rare meteorological phenomenon where a brief, emerald light appears just as the sun sinks below the horizon at sunset, or rises above the earth at dawn. Sunlight is dispersed through the atmosphere like a prism, revealing a flash of green. Verne described the green flash as “A green which no artist could ever obtain on his palette, a green of which neither the varied tints of vegetation nor the shades of the most limpid sea could ever produce the like! If there is a green in Paradise, it cannot be but of this shade, which most surely is the true green of Hope.”

Le Rayon Vert is a meditation on the brilliance of green, featuring three sources of vetiver balanced by cedar, stone and musk.

Details:

  • Notes: Vetiver, petitgrain, clary sage, Japanese cedarwood, stone, cold air

  • Eau de parfum strength

  • Original fragrance created for Portals

  • Perfumer: Noele Lusano Parfums
